Gardening update, early June

Posted by: Rose on: June 4, 2009

The mondo grass is putting up several new shoots, including a couple things that appear to be bearing seeds. I don’t know if this is a good sign or a bad sign…

The morning glories are finally showing signs of flourishing. The three really healthy shoots have big beefy leaves and lots of new baby leaves in evidence. And also one shoot that I thought for sure was a goner (its cotyledons fell off) is growing new leaves too. They’re tough! I read last night that morning glories don’t like too much water, so maybe the increased heat has been good for them.

And the petunias and marigolds smell wonderful too.
